Eligos
Tonight I made preparations to summon Eligos from the Lesser Key
of Solomon to answer a few questions. Unfortunately I didn't
complete te evocation, as I ran into so many snares, mostly little
things like not being able to concentrate on preparing the
questions, but also, for instance, as I was going through the
bornless ritual (a invocation of the godhead you do before the
summoning) one of my cats somehow opened the door to the temple
(aka my garage :D) and ran into the circle. Something tried to get
into the circle as I opened it to fling the cat back inside the
kitchen. At this point I decided to give up because the energy
seemed really freakish after the cat barged in and ruined the
great circle I had setup and I suddenly got a bad feeling about
the whole thing. So I just banished and left it for another night.
I think it has something to do with it being Midsummer's Eve and
all.

That blows, but prolly best you didnt still try and summon the
thing. Cats are the weirdest things when dealing with evokations
and animals.

A very intelligent decision Lady! ALWAYS TRUST your instincts. You
will find that they are correct.
Additionally, have you considered that these interuptions were NOT
accidental? To often we neglect looking at "interruptions" in this
light. That, in my experience, is a mistake.
Why these interruptions occured is for you to determine. However,
I submit that if you meditate on this you will discover the
answer. Sometimes it is the Entity itself that causes the
distractions to gain advantage over the Magickian. In these
situations, BANISHING is critical.
Just some thoughts

Yeah I banished, and also, every single time I make the decision
to summon one of these, I can feel my intent being placed in the
mental plane and the entity being notified of it days or weeks in
advance. Such was the case with every entity I have evoked or
invoked, demon or divinity. So I am very careful especially when
things go wrong because I can feel their eyes on me, and even if
it's just some trickster medicine it always pays to be careful and
listen to warnings, sent by friend or foe, either can be a bad
omen.
I feel the only way to shield my intent to evoke from an entity is
to not announce it on any physical level...voice...paper and pen
or web, and avoiding the sigil until you draw it in the circle. I
wouldn't even count on that completely though.

To expand upon what I AM said. I have found cats and dogs to be
very sensitive to supernatural energies. If you are like me, and
have a very close bond with your pets, then it could be that the
cat intervened for your protection. I find cats to be more
sensitive, but dogs are easier to read when they get worked up.
As a side note, I saw an article yesterday in the news that said
dogs can predict when an epileptic child will have a seizure hours
before it happens.

Actually my cats act like epileptic monkeys whenever I do any sort
of ritual, so they are not a very good measuring system. :(
It's almost embarassing, especially when the demon stops to ask
you what's wrong with the cat. lol :)

Fascinating! I'd love to have a cat, just to see that effect!
Sometimes I think a lof of the "magical state" is just in my mind,
as self-deception, and not noticable from others (humans or cats
or whatever).
The description of this demon is funny, he's both a war expert and
a love expert (for the upper classes)?! Not to mention knowing the
future... bah.
